April8 Day 01 Xining – Lhasa
Upon arrival at airport, Pick up and transfer to a 3 star hotel
April9 Day 02 transfer from hotel to station, board the train for Lhasa by train K917 (train leaves at 3:05PM)
April10 Day03 Arrive into LHASA at 2:35pm, walking around the Barkhor and overnight in Lhasa. O/n in Rama Khapo hotel
April11 Day04 (Breakfast) Lhasa tour: visit Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple and Barkhor Street, overnight in Rama Khapo hotel
April12 Day05 (Breakfast) Tibet Museum, Norbulinka Summer Palace, Sera Monastery, Overnight in Rama Khapo hotel
April13 Day06 (Breakfast) One free day to rest well before we head for the Ganden to Samye trekking
April14 Day07 (B+L+D) Lhasa-driving about 60 km to Ganden Monastery, after sightseeing in Ganden Monastery (with little bit climbing to Wangburi mountain), drive about 9 km to Tsubshi Village (or we can trek some distance if you prefer rather than driving there directly), Tsubshi is a nice small village, set up camping, enjoy the countryside life (go to visit Tibetan Nomadic family, see lots of yaks, cows and sheep, your guide and you will cook together for the dinner, o/n in the camping.
April14 Day07 (B+L+D) Lhasa-driving about 60 km to Ganden Monastery, after sightseeing in Ganden Monastery (with little bit climbing to Wangburi mountain), drive about 9 km to Tsubshi Village (or we can trek some distance if you prefer rather than driving there directly), Tsubshi is a nice small village, set up camping, enjoy the countryside life (go to visit Tibetan Nomadic family, see lots of yaks, cows and sheep, your guide and you will cook together for the dinner, o/n in the camping.
April15 Day08 (B+L+D) Tsubshi Village-Hepu-Yama Do (4456 meters high), enjoy the landscape along the way, trek about 3 to 4 hours, covering about 15 km, we will set up camp nearby the River
April16 Day09 (B+L+D) Yama Do-Shug-la Mountain pass (5250m)-Tsotup Chu Valley [4700m] (today we will trek about 7 hours and it is little bit challenging, today totally we will trek about 12 km, see lakes and experience e nomadic people’s life. o/n in camping, [full board meals/camping]
April17 Day10 (B+L+D) Tsotup Chu Valley-Chitu-la mountain pass (5100 m)-Yamalung heritage, (trekking about 7 hours covering about 16 km) we are going to trek through Yamalung Forests, camping in the forest, [full board meals/camping]
April18 Day11 (B+L) drive to Samye monastery (about 20 km from Yamalung heritage to Samye monastery), arrival around noon, visit this monastery and we will drive to Tsetang city, o/n in Yarlung River grand hotel (a good 4 star standard hotel)
April19 Day12: Tsetang-Yumbulagang Palace-Lake Yamdrok-Karola Glacier-Gyantse, o/n Yeti Hotel
April20 Day13: Gyantse (Pelkhor monastery and Kumbum pagoda) –Shigatse (90km well paved road), visit Tashilhunpo Monastery and old Tibetan Markets and streets, o/n in Shigatse Manasarovar hotel
April21 Day14: Shigatse-Rongphu Monastery-Everest Base Camp, o/n in tent-guesthouse
April22 Day15: Everest Base camp-Shigatse, o/n in Shigatse Manasarovar hotel
April 23 Day 16 Shigatse-Nyimuthon Village (visit the Incense making)-Lhasa, o/n in Rama Khapo Hotel
April24 Day 17 one final free day before leaving Tibet for Chongqing
