5 Insurance
Tibet Travel Expert Service (TTES-online brand of Tibet Niwei International Travel Service, Co., Ltd) always pays attention to traveler’s safety during travelling in Tibet and we regard it as one of our top concerns. As a well-experienced and professional Tibet travel agency, we highly recommend that you purchase full coverage travel insurance from your country. The liability insurance that we buy for our customers is basic, with limited coverage and restricted regulations. Thus, TTES strongly recommends customers to acquire international standard travel insurance coverage before departing from your home country, which may cover trip cancellation, flights cancellation or delay, trip interruption, emergency medical evacuation and medical expenses, baggage lost, etc. In case of medical emergency in remote places of Tibet, you will most likely be taken to the nearest medical facilities or airport by a car (or local way of transportation), where you can catch the next flight or a train to a better facilitated hospital in mainland China.
